What will my music say, what will it say to me? You are a dream; you are the sky that belongs to me. You can cheat or tell a lie. But your word keep flowing, filling you one more time What will my music make me be. A waterfall or a rising sun Like a child that’s born to be free. You know you’ll always be the one, always be the one. Oh the music comes, just like a rolling hill. So good to see you, so good to hear you sing again. Capture the feeling, it all comes to me. The sense of the world reel it on in to me. What will my music make me be. A waterfall or a rising sun Like a child that’s born to be free. You know you’ll always be the one, always be the one. What will my music make me be. A waterfall or a rising sun Like a child that’s born to be free. You know you’ll always be the one, always be the one. Lost friend of mine, I’ll see you one more time. Look into that moon, climb to the stars so high I see so clearly know, oh the rhythm and rhyme. Help dry me eyes from the tears I’ve cried. What will my music make me be. A waterfall or a rising sun Like a child that’s born to be free. You know you’ll always be the one, always be the one.

Drop dead knock out sight, at first when I saw you I nearly went blind Now I got a new kind of blues, locked in tight and I cannot break loose Not I cant get my mind off of you Woke up late last night....tried to sleep, but you were there on my mind Cmon babe put out that fire, settle me down pull me down from that wire Bound to spend my life running around after you Acting like a fool under the spell of full moon Its so hard to break, but I just can’t get my mind off of you Now I’ve sunken deep drowning the deep blue Chasing after dreams and they’ll never come true It’s so hard to break, but I just can’t get my mind off of you Jumped the nearest southbound train, a few mile us might just ease the pain Gonna start my life anew, after all the pain that you put me through Aint running round, I’m through chasing you This time the tides turning back to face you It’s been hard to break But now I can get my mind off of you Now I can get my mind off of you Just gotta keep my mind off of you

Seeds 05:00
It's always there, something new...pull up the stakes it's time to move, but always remember dear, where your footprints can't be found. It only takes a listening ear and a reason to plant those seeds, right back to the ground. Harvest time, no room to spoil. Gotta wait on rain, gotta drag the soil and think of how it used to be, when we all were young. Now, there's only moments of time, plenty songs they get left unsung, but water flows right through the ground. Love's on the wire, but only fools rush in. Every newborn cry is like a howling wind. Look into those eyes, and then you'll know, what matters the most, is those seeds grow. Judgement day, your family round. Lived a good hard life, time to follow the sound, where only the children play and dance all through the night. It's hard to believe that this day, I'll be sowing the seeds of my life, right back to the ground. Oh, right back to the ground.

Acting Blind 06:00
Tell the tale without speaking out a word Count your blessing if they haven't already been heard On the tip of your tongue, on the edge of your seat It don't mean a thing unless the soul starts to breathe What's inside your mind, then you'll try to Find the one that's always there when your are gone So hard to see when your always wrong Not a hurdle, not a state of mind So hard to see when your acting blind Look over here, it's what you've been waiting for An answer to the question, or a problem with no cure It's gonna come around again at the end of the day Pieces of the puzzle they'll always fall and stay What's inside your mind, then you'll try to Find the one that's always there when your are gone So hard to see when your always wrong Not a hurdle, not a state of mind So hard to see when your acting blind

Two Wheels 04:35
you were so dangerous when you were young life to the fullest every corner on two wheels you pulled all the strings, your word was law, we fell at your feet we wanted to be just like you you were our idol then, School got out got a job and kids that time is now gone away, you lost touch with all your friends where his bobby gone, some say he was a war hero some say he was a movie star, but his mother dreams he lives on the ocean floor round and round and round you go where you'll stop you'll never know nothing ventured nothing gained all the world is one big game round and round and round you go where you'll stop you'll never know nothing ventured nothing gained all the world is one big game we wanted to be just like you lead found Bobby on the seventh floor under the white sheet light was shining bright in those hollow eyes still full of all his dreams he had met a girl on the Golden Coast she pulled all the strings Bobby fell down at her feet, but they spun out of control on two wheels round and round and round you go where you stop you'll never know nothing ventured nothing gained all the world is one big game round and round and round you go where you'll stop you'll never know nothing ventured nothing gained all the world is one big game and his mother dreams he lives on the ocean floor

Ice Cold Wind The rain rolled won the window light, wind blew across the starless night You walked in cold as sin and let me with this mess again Oh, oh, oh........In and out of bed again you go Oh, oh, oh....... Every time that you come in, under darken moon, in and out again comes the ice cold wind. Cross the barren windswept plain, your memory drags it’s hollow flame Follows me, my footsteps draw, the tempted fate, twitch now I fall Oh, oh, oh.....I’m running out on you again I know Oh, oh, oh..... Knocking on my door again, under darken moon, in and out again comes the ice cold wind The ember’s flame at last dies out, leaves your mind without a doubt Hearts are now as cold as stone, silent house, empty home Oh, oh, oh..... Burned again by passion’s trend, I’m told Oh, Oh, Oh..... Howling at the door again, under darken moon, in and out again comes the ice cold wind Howling at the door again, under darken moon, in and out again comes the ice cold wind The ice cold wind The ice cold wind

Up in the morning, been up all night She told you things that'll make you feel right Gone before you know it, don't blink and eye You'll be looking round the corner with nothing in sight Thought you had her number, but the phone don't ring Looking through the pages, but they got no ink Lost in your thoughts, praying for a chance Put your money away, cause she don't wanna dance She'll be halfway home, changing her mind It won't take long, go on and love her tonight Get off work, that took all day long Looking at the clock, maybe she'll come home You don't know nothing, loves so blind She don't know love and you've lost your mind Sitting cross the room, send her a drink She ain't thirsty, but she sent you a wink Maybe you shouldn't, but your wink Heartbreak's in order for another week She'll be halfway home, changing her mind It won't take long, go on and love her tonight It's hard to remember when you had your pride Try and tough it out, pain's too hard to hide Pour another whiskey, try not to drown You'll be sitting at home, she'll be out on the town She'll be halfway home, changing her mind It won't take long, go on and love her tonight Go on and love her tonight

Amberscot 06:36
Oh I have seen the wonders of the world. I’ve sailed the seas, I fought a bear, even saved an old man’s life But I’ve never flown the Airship Amberscot Amberscot, she stretches oh so tall Giving guidance in the fog, hope along my way I trust you, dear old Amberscot The Red, the yellow and the green, spinning in the wind Amberscot take me on my journey, until the future comes again Lift up high this ship of mine Strings pull me from the earth, clouds open up above Oh, break free dear old Amberscot Powered by the eagles wings Faint star guide my course, a course set long ago For me and my dear old Amberscot The Red, the yellow and the green, spinning in the wind Amberscot take me on my journey, until the future comes again I’ll throw my hat into the air Recalling all my worn out days, I’ve found a brand new land Oh, a life with my dear old Amberscot I’m taken to this land A life of new beginnings, one found deep inside My new life, with my dear old, dear old Amberscot The Red, the yellow and the green, spinning in the wind Amberscot take me on my journey, until the future comes again

Saving To Do 04:13
Saving to Do Verse 1: Got work to do, gotta big field to plow A Lot of Earth to turn to fertile ground But there’s pain in this world, a big heavy load Not one ounce of blood to go ‘round. So much to do now, the proof’s at our feet Sluggin time and planting God’s field with love On my way soon, before that bright sun can say Gonna sow all your troubles away Chorus X 1: Wishing on things that’ll never come true Sometimes can take you away But, the harvest don’t lie and when there is love Lay you down at the end of the day Verse 2: Times it flies by, worry buried deep Crop standing tall on its own Save a guilty man from the trembling inside Peelthe skin from the bone The water keeps a flowing, peace finds a way Staring straight into the blue Pulling the weeds where the emptiness lies Dying means starting anew Chorus X 2: Wishing on things that’ll never come true Sometimes can take you away But, the harvest don’t lie and when there is love Lay you down at the end of the day

Eye To Eye 04:33
Its hard to remember way back then I took myself down a lonely street and never showed my face again It didn't take much to explain That the broken mirrors were in my past reflecting that time again And I can't seem to think away, all the moments I once had I looked down to the side of the road And I came upon and old man, and this is what he told He said, look for a detour along your road This one my child will take you back, gonna take you home And I can't seem to think away, all the moments I once had Yeah, I can't seem to see it eye to eye While time keeps passing by and I slide right on by Gonna travel way back home, just to see her face again And my mind keeps getting heavy child and the suns too hot to stand.

Days Like These If the choice were all mine, I’d take all the strange times away and replace them with anew Back when I was young, tears were wept and fights were fought but only seldom do I view Oh, its hard to say, if times these are better now, better now so lost Chorus Days like these....make them true. Make them true for all of us to see, see within our mind Make believe....stay true inside. Cause inside yourself you’ll always be, somewhere far away Oh days like these weren’t just made, they seem to run along and never hide, always trying something new. Sometime I think, that all we are we were before, like a child who does not care. I’ll make do with what I have, strong like a rock I’ll always be , but quiet in my eye Chorus Days like these....make them true. Make them true for all of us to see, see within our mind Make believe...stay true inside. Cause inside yourself you’ll always be, somewhere far away Oh what’s the price of fun Does it wander round or show up on time, while I’m still a child Here I’d like to stay, worry free and no regret, all the time in the world But soon it’s time to go, take with you now all you learned, pass along something new Chorus Days like these....make them true. Make them true for all of us to see, see within our mind Make believe....stay true inside. Cause inside yourself you’ll always be, somewhere far away

about

What Will My Music Make Me Be is the debut release from longtime musicians and songwriters, Chris DeClerk and Perry Osborn. Cousins and natives from Arkansas, DeClerk and Osborn were born with music in their blood. In the summer of 2015 with a slew of songs already composed, the duo polished 13 fresh tunes that they felt embodied the emotional drive and sound that they were looking for. Four months later, What Will My Music Make Me Be was born.

The album is singer-songwriter at heart, acoustic in nature at it's rawest form and heavy with passionate lyrical content. The songs take on an entirely different role once Osborn's soaring electric guitar enters the equation. Think of Steely Dan meets Van Morrison meets Tom Petty guitar rock. The album has all of these quality influences plus much more.

Tunes like Get Healed and Eye to Eye show a funkier side of the album showcasing sacred pedal steel wizard Roosevelt Collier from Miami, Florida. The pedal steel adds a swampy appeal to the already Americana-laden songwriting fashion of DeClerk.

The album has it all. It will bring a tear to your eye and might even take you down memory lane. This is just the beginning for these two seasoned musicians. Stay tuned for much more to come.

Chris DeClerk (Little Rock, AR): Acoustic Guitar/Vocals
Perry Osborn (Tallahassee, FL): 6 and 12 string Electric Guitars
Roosevelt Collier (Miami, FL): Sacred Pedal Steel Guitar
Rodney Jordan (Tallahassee, Fl): Acoustic and Electric Bass Guitars
Leon Anderson (Tallahassee, FL): Percussion
